(I'm not giving the city...not on my blog or in comboxes). In any case, I can tell you that they considered releasing us that day, but as we were in our final weeks of training, they kept us on in the event a local attack were to occur...for all practical purposes, we were firefighters and they would call us into service. <BR/><BR/>A few years ago I wrote the following post, and reposted it this year:<BR/><BR/>http://adorotedevote.blogspot.com/2006/09/we-will-never-forget.html<BR/><BR/>I'll never forget that day...the uniform made it personal, the ongoing tragedy made it real.<BR/><BR/>And I think we too often forget that it didn't just involve us as Americans, but people from 90 countries.
